DESIGN QUESTION – What kind of movement is needed to develop Korean typography?
Can The Korean alphabet be created to a new form of typography by applying it to the principle of point and line to plane?
Hangul is one of the most important national and world heritage. Having attention to own ingenious heritage is a vital social role as a member of society in the global world.
The purpose of this research is to give awareness of the Korean typography and create a new form of typeface by applying the formative principle to Korean consonants and vowels. A Line in Hangul consonants and vowels gives rise to the Plane by condensation with a regular distance and angle. Korean typography can be considered as not only a means of communication, but also visual image. In this point of view, I will be engaging in making various experiments on korean typographic by applying the principle of point and line to plane to Korean Alphabet.
